a freight train is carrying goods across the country. the distance it has traveled varies directly with the number of gallons of fuel it has used. see the graph below.
(a) how many miles does the train travel per gallon?
(b) what is the slope of the graph?
sorry i only know the answer for a.
(a.) for every 1 gallon of gas used, 4 miles are traveled.
for every 100 gallons, the train travels for 25 miles. to find how many gallons the train uses for x amount of miles, divide 100 by 25. since your answer is 4, then for every 1 gallon of gas the train travels 4 miles.
hi how are you doing today, if you need just ask me.
